Our board brings legal, social-service, housing, business and community-development experience to the Council’s work.

Cherie Dimmerling

Cherie combines a commitment to civil rights with experience as an entrepreneur, bank vice president and finance-company CEO. Her work in social services, housing equity and homelessness prevention informs FHCGS’s disciplined, solutions-oriented approach: establish the facts, insist on accountability and help people remain safely housed.

Ronald Javor

Ron is a retired Sacramento attorney who served for more than forty years with the California Department of Housing and Community Development, including as general counsel. His work has encompassed landlord-tenant law, housing finance, accessibility, building codes, affordable housing and protections for mobile-home residents.

Eva Revesz

Eva is a licensed clinical social worker whose career has included child welfare, mental-health services, teaching at Sacramento State, medical-practice management and community advocacy. Her work reflects a lifelong commitment to social justice, stable families and preventing homelessness.

Carly Hessel

Carly has served vulnerable people through homelessness programs, public safety, victims’ advocacy and statewide public service. She is especially committed to strengthening protections for survivors of domestic violence and helping families avoid homelessness.

Dr. Les Snead

Dr. Snead is a nonprofit leader, entrepreneur and community-development strategist with decades of experience in sustainable and affordable housing, veteran support, youth mentorship and workforce development.
